Hello! My name is Kira Stevens and I am excited and honoured to share my passions with you! I am a makeup artist in Victoria BC where I live with my husband Nate. We got married July 5, 2014 and it was the best decision I've made! Being a bride myself I know how it feels to want to look and feel your absolute brightest on one of the most important days of your life. I go above and beyond to make you look and feel like the goddess that you are. I'm your personal stylist, beauty guru, your first (or second) opinion and a friend - And here's what sets me apart - I treat you as if it were me sitting in the chair getting ready to walk down the aisle, because I have and I know how it feels! I'm calm, kind, professional, I listen to your needs and I absolutely love to bring out the most beautiful version of you. Drawing out your beauty is my passion. (No pun intended)
Background: I am proud to say there is a long lineage of artists in my family that makes what I do that much more powerful and special to me. It is a powerful reminder as to why I am who I am today. On my dad's side: My Opa was an artist for a living, he painted scenes of the west coast on giant canvases layered and textured with oil and acrylic paints. Oma was a fashion designer and model and made all her own clothes from scratch. My father was an architect, (now art teacher) and is an excellent on-the-spot beach raft builder which we quite enjoyed as kids growing up on Vancouver Island. On my mums side my great grandpa was a violinist, inventor and lover of nature. As for me, I started at my dad's drafting table. I would draw whatever came to mind, moving to paint and canvas and then to a makeup brush and a live canvas... You.
